Meet Alex
Alex Reczek is a husband, father, and veteran who has always believed in the power of imagination and storytelling. After serving six years in the Army, including two lengthy deployments away from his wife and two young children, Alex began sketching whimsical illustrations of his daughter turning everyday play into grand adventures. What started as a way to stay connected with her during his time overseas grew into a heartfelt children’s book that celebrates resilience, family, and the special bond between fathers and their kids.
Alex has always loved the creative arts—drawing, writing, and public speaking—but after years of leading in the military, he is now embracing a new chapter where faith, family, and creativity take center stage. His stories are rooted in love, imagination, and encouragement for children and families, especially those who know what it’s like when Daddy has to be away for work. When he isn’t writing or drawing, Alex can be found spending time with his wife and children, pursuing new creative projects, or working toward building a family-centered life grounded in faith. He hopes his books bring comfort, joy, and inspiration to families everywhere—reminding parents and kids alike that even ordinary moments can be filled with extraordinary adventure
